Res Publica Europa and the Shift Project were pleased to host a dinner-debate on 18 March 2026 on the role of the energy transition and decarbonation in achieving European sovereignty and strategic autonomy.

Jean-Marc Jancovici, President of the Shift Project, presented the Shift Project’s latest work on the topic, including an analysis of strategic energy dependencies across European supplies chains and the path towards reducing them through decarbonation.
